Crashes Guaranteed. Terrible! IE9 has crashed consistantly on my Windows7 computer. I don't dare download it to my older XP computer. It is a shame that Microsoft has delivered this worthless browser on the unsuspecting public. Mr. Balmer, you should be embarrassed! The rest of you at Microsoft, surely you can do better! If I could uninstall this program and have my computer work properly, I would!More
IE9 is horrible.
IE has become worse and worse with each release. I have IE9 now, it constantly freezes, has to close and re-open, won't run half of the web based software we use at work, and is forever getting spyware and malware attached/downloaded to reputable website. The other day I got one from Dell. IE tries to protect you from everything except what you need protection from. I can't wait to see how worthless IE10 is.
About IE, nothing.
Protection from malware and spywareMore
ABSOLUTELY WORTHLESS!. It is "not responding" more than it responds. I can't believe Micresoft put this out there! I HATE IT!!!!! I'm off to Chrome or Firefox or smoke signals. I can't even get the 32 bit one to open currently (since the "fix" update) Pros: absolutely nothing. It crashes way more than IE8. Cons: EVERYTHING needs improvement. How about giving us a browser that works with Windows 7? This f*&$#ing program spends more time "not responding" than it does responding. I HATE IT! Chrome here I come.More
An improvement. . Internet Explorer is still the most used browser. It doesn't offer much, but it's Windows that keeps it alive. Pros: -Compatible -Small interface ( sometimes ) Cons: Everything else Slow
compatibility. So heres an improved explorer that negates its core audience of XP users?I understand the need to move forward and to prepare for the next wave of tech. But if tech moves apart from its
Crashing E9. I downloaded it, played a browser game for 5 minutes/CRASH! This is in it's Beta stages though, I expect a less flawed version once it is mass produced..
IE 9 is horrible. everything was fine they told me to update IE and I did. boy am I sorry. I cant watch any videos it tells me to update my adobe and adobe wont download. no support is out there. I dont need this nonsense in my life. All these crazy pop ups all over the screen that shake and wont go away. Hey IE if it aint broke dont fix it..... Morons!
Cannot export web pages into an Excel spreadsheet with IE 9. Although I have enjoyed almost of the new features in IE9 I've recently had to uninstall it and revert back to IE8 after much frustration in attempts to export data into an Excel spreadsheet. Until a Hotfix can be installed into IE9 I will have to continue to use IE8. Too bad too. Pros: It is very user friendly and fast. Cons: You cannot export ANY data into an Excel spreadsheet with IE9 at this time.More
Explorer 9 sucks!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! "Critical Update"? My booty..
I never had this problem with any of the Explorer updates. It changed EVERYTHING on computer & NOT USER FRIENDLY AT ALL. No help in restoring default sites, home sites, previous favorites. I hate it and will tell everyone to skip the upgrade until problems (that a lot of people seem to be having) are fixed. I had to system restore back to Explorer 8 or I was going to throw my laptop across the room.
It suuuucks. Give me back my IE8. This thing has slowed down my computer, has annoying popup messages in the bottom of the screen constantly(even for my Google home page) and the "one window search" is useless an ineffective. I am NOT a happy camper here.
Unstable IE9. I installed IE 9 on Win 7 64-bit Home Edition. It start giving error within first 2 min of usage, I simply opened my gmail account, suddenly MS Error dialog appeared on middle of screen! I uninstalled it after 2 hours of its installation. I request Microsoft please try to properly test your product before its final release. I am big fan of Microsoft products but this time I cannot convince other audience to Go for IE 9. But IE 8 is working outstanding.More
IE 9. IE 9 wont let HP Smart Web Printing work and could not find a fix from a few different angles.Restored my computer to a few days before and WHALLA,i have my HP Smart Web Printing back, just like an old friend.IE 9? not anywhere in the future. Cons: IE 9 wont let HP Smart Web Printing work, Could'nt tell a difference in performance.
Best Versions Of Internet Explorer So Far.
I am usually one to dog Microsoft for half-assed doing something with their browser. This version is pretty solid for IE. Very stable, faster and best of all it's actually pretty secure.
The only issues I have with Internet Explorer 9 is the fact there still is no innovation they just improve on technology that's already available. And the fact their add-ons still install into windows rather than the browser itself.
Overall I must give Microsoft credit, while not innovative or as secure as some other browsers, it's a big step in the right direction. I can't wait to see what IE 10 will bring if they improve on IE9.
Add-ons Still Install On The Computer.
Still No New TechnologyMore
TSKI. IE9 sucks...I used for two days and reverted back to IE8...it slowed down my system instead of speeding things up...it stop my Bejeweled game from loading up on facebook. It claimed to be so much better than IE8 but all I saw was worse. DO NOT...I REPEAT...DO NOT DOWNLOAD IE9. It is a LOAD of crap. Like they say...'if it's not broke than don't fix it'...that is VERY true in this case. You will have more problems than a little bit, don't waste your time. TWO THUMBS DOWN to IE9...DUECES! More
Needs serious work.... I try beta 9 and frankly is serous interruption in my work and browsing. it constantly crashes "to protect me" and tells me I have a browser add on which is malfunctioning or bad and I have them all disabled, is sad and use Google Chrome for most things... Pros: fast. Cons: crashes on start wants to immediately limit your pages then when you stop to click it it crashes again....More
ie 9 better but not best. ie9 is better but not best like all new google chrome9 and opera 11.when i used it many times it hanged on my fast system(win 7 with i3 prossesor)and tabs not respond many times.it f**ked my browsing session.but its look is better than ie8.
IE9 Beta is A Mixed-Bag !!.
IE9 is still in its beta phase - so the ones who got it running should expect some stability related issues.
IE9 suffers from a lot many clogs that hamper the seamless experience like " Internet Explorer has stopped working " - especially when you open new tabs, And it consumes a lot of your computer's physical memory ( mine is 512Mb RAM with Windows7 ) - which can lead to a frustrating delay in the response to any action like opening new tabs.
That said, me being a sort of an Anti-IE webbie, IE9 did take me by surprise ! Its Fast !! Its Sleek - Gives the IE family an all new refreshed look !! And it integrated its search and and address bar - the new superbar with search enabled via Bing.
Those users who wanna try out IE9 Now, be ready to have both plus and minuses, But those of you who rather prefer a glitchless web, Hold on for a while. A better IE9 is on the horizon.
Stability Issues in beta phaseMore
Service packs.... It tells me I have the wrong service pack... I have IO8... but doesn't tell me how to get the service packs...can't install..
Thanks Heaven Got out of the Hell called IE Beta 9.
After my review of how frustrating an experience I was having with IE Beta 9, I was able to trouble shoot it as " incompatibility". Why Microsoft is warning about the incompatibility before downloading and installation.
They want to test beta versions at the experience and inconvenience of the users.
And I did manage to uninstall it restoring my previous version.
Well never again any beta version !More
Internet stopped working.
My experience after installing IE 9 Beta has been frustrating and life has become unworthy of living. Following the MS site instruction to uninstall does not help me to reach the tab "uninstall"
I was hitherto using IE 8., May be I am paying the penalty for greed. I am using Windows 7 starter edition .
I have to by force use Googl;e Chrome bur interrupted always by a window showing Internet Explorer hasd, stopped working and a tab within saying "Close program" When I close within seconds the window again comes.
It is hell of an experience.
And Look at this I have been using IE from the first version. More advancements more problems. I think nothing functions like IE -6.
Oh God do I have to format my disc? do not I have any other alternative? can someone help me out of the IE 9 Mess I am in?

Internet Explorer 9 Suckz. Internet Explorer 9 doesn't work. It Gives me a message every 5 seconds that internet explorer has stopped working, and its not even on.
Cleaner screen - less "busy", also appears to be faster. The screen shows what you need to screen and hides all the other distracting tools - you can still access all tools they just don't take up the top 10> 15% of your screen :) Pros: Less noise. Cons: Do not like the the "Action" screen that appears 'unnoticed' at the bottom of the screen waiting for you to say whether you want to Open/ Run or Save a file >>> needs to stand out more!! It is always there for a while before I notice it :(More
Bad for XP. I have tried to install IE 9 on windows xp but failed. I use XP but it requires Windows 7 & vista. It is very bad for XP users. Shareef Dewan from Bangladesh
On a cheap acer and IE9 is wow x10..
This is fantastic the new ie9 as i d/loded it 8 days ago and had google before, and thought why change something if its ok ( bit slow getting but ??? ) To be honest i use google as my homepage for my mail and maps ect, but when a put this on, it was so fast to get to where i was going like newspapers, facebook, and so on and the program is fast for my wee Dongle from hell but this ie9 was really ment for windows 7,160 h/d and only 1 gig with 800 mhz fsb, and got it free with a bag mouse and a years free t-mobile. But i have to say this ie9 just complements my new laptop and such a difference and sleek as like the panes in the tab window for favorite sites it will bank them for you but was already seen it in googles stuff, so now i have just the toolbar of google and through ie9 and it's all good and over the moon everything is so quicker by far love it.
P.S a put the spec of the laptop on to help anyone in the same boat. cheers brybhoy.
Very qiuck off the mark and loads up ya pages in a lot faster way, could not have happend at a better time as i have a brand new laptop and by god it has done it justice. 100% all the way without a doubt at all.
Still getting to grips with the details popping up from the bottom of the page, as i go along it seems to be very good idea fixing out the niggles and fast and furious style.More
cool for me .
It's fast, reliable and am on windows 7 and it seems to complement it so well what a difference from google, but cant break the habbit of going into google homepage for a browse. I am just trying to establish if they are ok with this operating system and what suits windows 7 better, but i think to be honest now i am looking to get ie9 homepage back to use full time. aaaarrrrgggghhh.
tell you soon.
nice like the extra page that keeps your favourites so google , but need ie9 to sample it loaded it in but need the ie9 homepage.AGAIN.More
CANNOT USE IT!. i installed ie9 beta as "Ie9-windows7-x86-enu.exe". my os is win7 ultimate.but cannot open it because "Setup doesn’t support the windows service pack version currently installed on your computer” and “service pack is not supported”. In this case i cannot use it and cannot add anything to "PRO"! can you help me? Pros: DON'T KNOW. Cons: CANNOT USE IT!More
New impressions about Internet Explorer 9.
Microsoft has done the big work on web browser working out. In comparison with Internet Explorer 8 new version of a web browser works aloud faster. Many web pages are displayed correctly, thanks to support of web standards. But the new interface is awful. Tabs and an address line on one line - the disputable decision.
About Hardware Acceleration(HwAc).
IE 9 can't use HwAc on Win XP. MS explains it to that the system has become outdated and don't support HwAc. It is lie! Chromium 7 & Fx 4 can use HwAc & GPU rendering on Win XP (and other systems like Mac OS & free and open user-friendly systems like Ubuntu, Mandriva). Such tricks Microsoft aspires to entice users on Windows 7. This is unfairly for Win XP users.
There is a test by definition of possibility of support HTML5 (html5test.com). Chromium 7 takes 246 points, IE 9 takes 96. Free and open-source browser Chromium 7 works better than IE 9.
1). Advisor about extensions.
2). Compatibility with web standarts.
3). Good download manager.
5). Integration with Aero.
6). Hardware acceleration.
1). Doesn't support Windows XP (50% of world market share)
2). Low productivity in comparison with competitors (Chromium 7 & Opera 10.70)
3). Doesn't support geolocation, WebM, Web Workers & other aspects of HTML5.
4). GUI. I worked with >10 tabs & IE is awful in this case or on netbooks.
5). Installation and uninstallation are dreadful. My PC was reboot! Other browsers don't need the restart.More
Fast yes . Microsoft seems determined to lose the browser war. Their browsers just keeps getting worse and worse. Pros: fast. Cons: no menu and to many others to list
